How to use this book

This journal was built specifically for beginners: people who are ready to make a real change but don't want to be overwhelmed by complicated systems, strict rules, or intimidating fitness routines. You don't need any prior experience with tracking, dieting, or exercise to use this book. All you need is a willingness to show up for thirty days and a pen. That's it. By the time you reach Day 30, you will have built real habits, real awareness, and a real sense of what your body is capable of — and this journal will be the record of every step you took to get there.

Start at the very beginning with the My 30-Day Challenge Overview section and takes only a few minutes to fill in — but those few minutes matter more than you might think. Write in your start date and end date so you can see exactly where this journey begins and ends. Then fill in your main goal and, even more importantly, your why — the real reason behind why you want to reset your body and your habits. Go deeper than "I want to lose weight." Write down how you want to feel, what you want to be able to do, who you want to show up as. There's also space to set three personal rules for yourself (simple ones — things like "I will drink water before every meal" or "I will move my body for at least 15 minutes every day") and an emergency motivation statement, which is a sentence you write to your future self for the moments when the motivation dips and you need a reminder of why you started. Fill this section out honestly and with intention — it's your anchor for the entire 30 days.

The Daily Challenge Pages are where you'll spend most of your time, and there are 30 of them — one for every single day of your reset. Each page has a bold Day Number header at the top so you always know exactly where you are in the challenge. The Meals section gives you simple one-line fields for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks — there's no calorie counting or macro math required here, just a quick note of what you ate so you can start to see your patterns. The Movement section asks what kind of movement you did, how long you did it, and invites you to rate your energy level on a simple 1–5 scale. Don't worry if your movement is a 20-minute walk,  it counts completely, and logging it every day is what matters. Below that is a Habit Tracker row with four checkboxes: water, sleep, no junk food, and moved today. These four small habits, tracked consistently over 30 days, have the power to shift how you feel entirely. At the bottom of each daily page is a single journaling prompt — "What did I do well today?" — and this question is there on purpose. Instead of ending your day focused on where you fell short, this prompt trains you to recognize your wins, no matter how small, and that shift in perspective is one of the most underrated tools in any fitness journey. Fill in your daily page every evening before bed if you can, while the day is still fresh in your memory.

Scattered throughout the 30 days are five Motivational Prompt Pages, and you should treat these as a gift to yourself rather than a task to complete. Each page presents one bold, meaningful question — something like "Why does this 30-day challenge matter to me?" — with generous lined space beneath it for your honest, unfiltered answer. These pages slow you down in the best possible way. They invite you to connect with your motivation, check in with your mindset, and put your thoughts and feelings into words. There are no right or wrong answers. Write whatever comes up, even if it feels messy or imperfect. The act of writing it down is what matters.

At several key points in your 30-day journey, you'll come to a Progress Check-In page. These  pages are structured checkpoints where you can record your weight and measurements, rate your current energy and sleep quality, note the biggest change you've noticed so far, and there's even a photo reminder box to help you document your physical progress visually if you choose to.

Don't skip these pages even if the numbers on the scale aren't moving the way you hoped. Progress during a body reset shows up in so many ways beyond weight — your energy, your sleep, your confidence, your cravings, your mood. The check-in pages help you see all of it, not just one metric.

When you reach Day 30, you'll find the My Reset Celebration and you will have absolutely earned it. This page invites you to officially mark your completion, write down the top three things you changed over the past month, describe how you feel now compared to when you started, and look ahead to what comes next. It's a moment to pause, acknowledge what you've accomplished, and decide with intention how you want to carry these new habits forward. Finishing 30 days is genuinely something to be proud of, and this page is your record of that.

The most important advice for using this journal is simply to keep going — especially on the days when you don't feel like it. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to have a great workout or a spotless eating day to fill in your tracker. Fill it in anyway, because showing up imperfectly every day will always beat waiting for the perfect moment to start. Every check mark, every honest answer, and every meal you write down is a vote for the person you're becoming. Thirty days from now, you will be glad you opened this book today.
